    prophet 6 help

    anyone know what would cause a rear derailleur to be sucked into the spokes during a hard landing......my prophet is really messed up

    Why are you in the first gear when you're doing drops anyways?

    Otherwise, check your dérailleur's limits.

    i was in 2 and 5 or 2 and 6

    maybe it got tweeked beforehand and you didnt notice, and then the derailluer just gave out when you landed hard.

    maybe chain is too short or derailer hanger wasn't tight enough
    the trick is ENJOYING YOUR LIFE EACH DAY, don't waste them away wishing for better days

    maybe....i get sick just thinkin ab it.......derailer also took out several spokes on my brand new wheel...i just hope it can be saved.....

    chain is to short

    and the wheel should turn out fine with a little TLC, Another idea is to make sure you are in a higher gear before you do a bigger drop, this lets you keep the tight chainlines (thats what I do... after some catastrophic drive-train incidents or CDIs)
