Last season I purchased a set of Black Ops Torqlite pedals, seemed to work fine for trail use :
Amazon.com: Black Ops Torqlite UL Pedals - 9/16", Black: Sports & Outdoors
Last ride, during a slow climb, I noticed side to side movement from my left pedal. I put an allen wrench on the 4mm spindle hex bolt and found it was over a turn loose. After I snugged it down the pedal wouldn't spin @ all. I disassembled the pedal and found the worst bearing arrangement. Basically there is a 5mm bolt that serves as a bearing preloader & retainer. The bolt was covered in blue loctite. I checked the other side and a simple twist of the bolt and it backed right out. Anyways, I need to replace the bearings and don't know where to start as i can find no manufacture info.
