That, and since it isn't riding season in Colorado I would guess he is off pillaging some village in Arizona.

Hell with his injuries, and no riding, he probably barely fits on a PORCH, let alone in a Porsche!

Not wanting to be accused of an SMT-hugger... but I think that he does get some undeserved flak on the boards. Chill out.

If that were a true SMT-mobile it would be red....

And that picture makes me sad... living in colorado sucks during the winter if you do not ski / snowboard.

And yes SMT does get more flack then he deserves, but he has proliferated himself so far out on these boards he's bound to get a lot of attention.. both positive and unfortunately negative.

The parental units... Father works for the Government, and they won't let him leave.. unless of course he wants to move to Wash. D.C.

And I just haven't ever gone... no particular reason really. I'm just a fair weather person. There are better things to do in the snow too IMO nothing gets better then the Subaru WRX snow test drive

    ARE YOU GUYS KIDDING ME?

Obviously you guys have never driven up I-70 on a Sat. morning to go skiing. You need to be on the road by 5:30 a.m. now days to miss the "parking lot" that I-70 becomes. Then when you are one the mountain, the lift lines are TERRIBLE. I skied for 15 years, the last 5 of which I had a season pass. But the traffic, lines and cost have gotten so bad that I finally had enough and gave it up. And you know what? I don't miss it at all.

Reason for living in Denver/Colorado for me? We have some of the best DHing and cross country trails in the country all within 20 minutes to 2 hours away. Keystone, Sole Vista, Winter Park, Snowmass and more. And if you are hard-core, you can trail ride pretty much all year long. OH, ALSO. I go to Moab 2 or 3 times a year because it's only a 5.5 hour drive from my house. How many of you can say all this where you live?

Hopefully NOW you all know WHY we (or at least I) live in Colorado.

Same here...I gave up snowboarding because I was tired of waiting in traffic. Last year it took me an average of 4-5 hours to get home when during the summer from the same resort to my house takes roughly 1.5 hours. Once you get through the traffic on the road though you run into traffic on the slopes in the form of tourists who think they are hot sh!t. Only time it is possibly worth it is if you go more than 1 day at a time. But then you have to pay out the a$$ for a room because there are so many stupid tourists here. Personally I think Colorado needs some strict Immigration/vacationing laws(just kidding...read this next part in a sarcastic tone)...tourists can have Monday and Wednesday to ski and only permanent Colorado residents can ski which ever day they want. Texans are only allowed to take up 10% of the camp sites in any given camp ground(no offense...you are nice people its just when you go to a camp ground its like a miniature Texas) and you have to pass a driving test before you can go 4 wheeling in the San Juans(stupid rental Jeeps who dont know the rules of the road/dont know how to drive off road). I could go on for hours about all the things tourists do that make me mad but I wont

    End Rant

Preach it. I've been boarding for 20 years this season, but have had absolutely 0 interest in going up the last 3 years - 6 hours of driving so that I can ride ice with 10,000 others? Nope. I may give the backcountry thing a shot next season, but the resorts are dead to me - until summertime.
    Now with more vitriol!

You don't have to give up on skiing. Go back county, it is the freeride of skiing. No way in hell I would pay 55.00 or more to ski the groomers.
