    MRP Bones Crank

    Has anyone tried to take one off their bike? whats the best way? is there a tool i can buy to "extract" the arm off the spindle?

    Yeah, it's called.....

    A CRANK ARM EXTRACTOR! You can buy one at your LBS for around $15. make sure you tell them it's for a splined crank arm, not square tapered

    NO you dont necessarily need special tools.
    My trick was to remove the crank bolt till it was roughly 1/2 thread, tap the bolt with a hammer and walla off it comes(dont smack too hard though)
    Its sooo easy. Good luck

    Tried to use a CAE and noticed that there were no threads so i had to improvise.......with a hammer.....

    Yes there is a tool. My advice is to go to a local shop that does alot with BMX what you want is a Profile racing crank extractor. I skipped the guy at the counter and went right to the mechanic. I told him what I needed and he found an extra from their "Junk Drawer" and I bought it for $5. YMMV.

    Hey man you know I didn't know. Had I known I would have told you when it broke. I am a tool though. Thanks for pointing that out.
