Looking for a deal on a DH/FR bike

Due to peer pressure, a large tax return and having way too much fun riding at Highland bike park last season, I've decided to plunk down for a downhill/freeride type bike. My budget is about $2500.

I'm not too picky but I ideally would like a 7-8 inch travel bike new or lightly used. Looking for a well taken care of rig or a deal from a past year's model. I've seen some deals floating around and want an opinion on a few opinions. Here's some bikes I've seen.

    Scott Voltage FR
    Rocky Mountain Flatline
Specialized Demo 7 or 8 (I don't particularly like Specialized, but I see a lot of these being sold in good shape)

Any other bikes I should be looking at? I haven't owned a DH bike since 2006, so I'm not too up to speed on the latest rigs.

I almost bought a Demo 7 from a guy over at that other forum, and mentioned my 6.7" delirium in one line. He said that the Demo 7 is really portly for the 7', might as well get a full blown 8" rig and be set.
