Keystone Gopro Video - End of July 2014

I finally bought a DH bike to ride at the resorts. This was from my first day out this season. I was bummed as hell I dumped my new rig in the Rock garden and scratched up the forks. After that it was ON!

I was psyched to be able to hit all the features way better than all the years of riding my XC bike.

Nice job! I rode Keystone a couple days last season while on vacation. That drop you slo-mo'ed at about 0:57...I think the trail was called Jam Rock(?)...one of the nuttiest things I've seen at a resort. Of course, it doesn't look so bad on the video, and maybe it's NOT so bad if you spend some time scoping it out, but rolling up on it for the first time scared the hell out of me.

Thanks for the props peeps! Didn't get back to the thread until today.

I've still only been up two times this season on the new HD rig!
After riding the resorts and hitting most all the features on my good old 2k5 XC Kona I was able to hit jumps and clear features with a lot more ease on the DH rig.

Riding so many years at the resorts on an XC bike can really up your game! At least it did for me. Now I can ride a little more sloppy since the DH rig is much more forgiving.

tmaster12000 - Yeah, that's jamrock and one of my favorite jumps at any resort. I used to have to stop and scope it out on the XC bike and get psyched up to hit it. On my DH rig I didn't even think about it and just had fun flying off it. You can hit it pretty slow the first time and land on the bridge to get feeling for it. It doesn't have much margin for error with the minimal take off on the top but that makes it more fun. :-)

    SHIVER ME TIMBERS, csermonet, cyclelicious,

Yeah, that Skinny is no joke. No margin for error and that was my first time hitting it. The bars are so wide on my DH bike they hit the side of a tree but I kept my composure and pulled it off. That was my highlight of the day.

Thanks again and LMK if anyone wants to hook up and go riding!
