Its said over and over... Whatever you are comfortable with. Don't worry what people think and ride whatever makes you fastest.

    Warning: dead horse ahead.

Do you currently ride clipless or flats? How much experience do you have riding either and riding DH? If you are not widely experience in DH I would ride flats and armor up. Clipless is for eking out every single ounce of power you have. If you're just staring out DH then you need to learn to ride before you can worry about tenths of seconds on course. Even at the highest levels of World Cup racing riders still choose between the two. For mere mortals choose what you're comfortable with and if you don't know then ride flats.
Don't you hate it when a sentence doesn't end the way you think it octopus?

What the others said.. Ride with what you are comfortable with.. If you switch from flats and are not confident with being clipped in you might doubt yourself in certain situations which will slow you down..
