    ^ good advice. Good shoes are just as important as the pedals. I can't think of a single sin stance of slipping a pedal since I got my 510's.

    Preloading the jump is good advice too, although I wouldn't think too much about that in the beginning. Good preloading technique will come naturally with more seat time in the jumpy bits.
