    Check MBAction Sept 03...

for a full review. But here is what their bottom line was.........

"K2 hit then nail square on the head with the Tirade. It is hard to find fault with a biek that is light enough to add enjoyment to a long, hard trail ride, yet burly enough to pound out sessions with freeriders and dirt jumpers. The Tirade (5.0 tested) is good looking too. A core rider who needs one bike that can do just about everythingon the mountain need look no further."

Take that for what it's worth. Good luck.

I test rode the Tirade 5.0 2003 model at Interbike. I was super-impressed with it. Since this year's bikes have Manitou swinger shocks, I'm sure it's even better. I think you should get it, yeah.

    K2

I saw last years model and it looked sick. Great bike indeed. Let me know how you like it if you get it. K2 has came a long way in the past few years.

thanks for the replies, however I decided to go with the banshee chaparral and I love it! it seems a lot beefier in some places, though they are very similar. happy riding all

Good thing, the Tirade has some big time flex issues in the rear.
