That was a pretty boring trailer. Let's see... 40 seconds of ping pong playing, 10 seconds of building a jump, 26 seconds of masturbatory cinematography with no riding. The first action came at 1:20 or so and then it looked to be the same hip jump for the remainder of the trailer.

There are 4 seconds un-accounted for in your description. This is twilight zone material. We HAVE TO figure out where they went now!!!

A new Clay Porter film is always something to look forward to.
Though Between the Tape was better than F1RST, IMO.
Hunter, Simmons, Berrecloth, Watson,Vanderham, Semenuk, Schley, Gulevich, Bourdon, Smith, Moreland, Shandro, Boyko... Bieber.

Definitly...Clay owes us a good film.
between the tape was amazing but F1RST was so obviously rushed that it ruined what could have been another great film.

OK I went and saw this film at Sea Otter. How stoked is Specialized to have picked this guy up. Right when one of the better film makers in our industry devotes an entire documentary to their rider Sam Hill and the main players who are there to take his crown. Some of the things said in the movie my seem harsh, mean and almost primal. If you look at the big picture is raised the bar of an entire sport. As far as the rest of the film goes I fell that Clay hit the mark on his story telling abilities and artistic way of showing the sport of gravity mountain biking.
Balls to the wall until you see god. Turn Left!

Sounds like this is gonna be a good one. We (SDMBA.com) are all set for 2 shows in San Diego. May 28th and 29th are the tentative dates. Stay tuned! New Belgium Brewing is back on board as our film sponsor, as is Specialized, Dakine, etc.

i thought the movie was ok. the beggining was kindof slow but the individual rider sections were whatt i really liked. oh and was anyone else annoyed at the color of the subtitles. i swear i could read maybe half of them.

The subtitles were poorly colored at certain times, and I honestly had no idea what they were supposed to say. White subtitles on a white background?
But ultimately it was a fantastic movie. Finally a movie about racing, and only racing. No Freeride, no 4x, or dual slalom, and no BMX. Just DH racing.
I loved it.

Check for our San Diego showings. May 28th and 29th, under SoCal. I think the film will be available to purchase this month, but the big screen is better. Fifteen bucks and free beer!
Obviously, you're not a golfer.
