Dual Slalom - best seat position?

How high do dual slalom riders normally have their seat? And how much do they use their seat during a race? Or do they just tuck it way low and basically not use their seat while they are racing?

just high enough so the rear wheel dosen't hit it under full compression (which is really low on a short travel bike) and back far enough so the bars don't touch while x-ing up.......

    Behind the seat

I was just browsing some action shots at a dual slalom web-site, and on a lot of shots the riders are waaaay back behind the seat (which is very low), just about sitting on the rear wheel. What's the reason for this position?

if you're sitting down in a dual slollom course, you're not trying to win.

they usually only have a seat there to protect their ass from bottoming out on the frame. IMHO droppin-it-to-da-flo-is-da-way-ta-go

the seat is most usually use for leverage in a dual slolom course... not for sitting.
