    Colorado Front Range DH trails

Relatively new to DH/Freeride after years of XC riding/racing. Stuck to the resorts last summer (Keystone/Trestle Parks). I'm looking to take advantage of the warm summer weather hoping that there's a group or few guys I can tag along with for some gravity fun...show me some trails around the front range.

Captain Jacks and the Chutes are pretty nice; you have got to shuttle though.

Colorado Springs, they go downhill but are not "downhill trails". Both are good on a hardtail.

Make some friends off line or meet people at the resorts. There are not many legal places to ride real DH off the resorts. If some DH trails did exist most of the builders will not talk about it due to the legality/ illegality of such trails.

That place isn't worth the drive from Colorado Springs.

They are in Colorado Springs. Head toward Helen Hunt Falls, and then keep going up the road until you can't go up anymore. Park there, hike/push bike to the top. Roll. Shuttle, repeat.

    Hey Dave,

Seems like your in Colorado Springs...
I just found these guys... They look promising...

Well I tried posting the link, but I guess these boards don't like new folks!

So.. Go to meetup [dot] com
Search for Colorado Springs Mountain Biking Club

Lot of the member post Indivudal rides looking for someone to ride with.

    Chris
