Cool-blue Rhythm Bar Drag Bounty 2 - contest! *berm video*

Hey guys... if you love berms like me, perhaps you will like this edit I just made for the vitalmtb.com contest to win a mountain bike.

Last Monday I decided I want to step up my filming for my #1 hobby, so I went and dropped some coin on a new camcorder and some accessories. I did it so I could make a better entry for this contest to win a mountain bike. I want to win so that I can give the bike to my best friend who has no mountain bike at all. He is the one who helped me film this entire edit.

If you enjoyed the clip please LIKE or leave a positive comment on the video page Thanks guys.

EDIT: See page 2 .. I made a second edit.

So far I can only get my hands about an inch off the bars. I've only been working on them for a day though.

If they do public voting for the winner of the bardrag bounty, let me know and I'll vote for you,

Those turns look like a lot of fun! 1:30 is my favorite of the bunch, it looks like you are carrying good speed though all of them!

Looks great man! It's super long though, you probably could have cut to to half that time and still made it interesting. Good luck and I hope you win!

Nice! I was out there on Monday and saw some deer also. Kinda scared me because I had just ridden down the part they were crossing.

Haha thanks all.. yeah it's Carlmont in the Peninsula. Belmont, CA.

I was going to make a shorter edit.. but I had so much footage and I'm always tired of seeing tons of edits with tons of filler and very little riding.. then to top it off they are always like 2-3 minutes long.. I wanted to pack as much action into the video as I could.

The video was filmed with a Sony HDR-CX560. Fisheye shots are with a Century Optics .3x wide adapter.

Haha I've had some super close encounters with the deer... I've been coming around berms and all the sudden Momma deer and family would shoot across in front. Keeps me on my toes! I saw a fox at Carlmont one time too, he was running straight through the middle area. It was one of those orange foxes with the big white tails.

haha i'm not gonna lie.. i spent about 8+ hours digging out that entire turn and creating the berm, and yes, i piled the dirt on the inside.

it doesn't look like i have much lean, but i had to try about 10+ times to get enough speed into the turn to drag my bar.

    Thanks everyone!!

I actually felt like I didn't ride hard enough in this video so I went back this weekend and tried pushing myself even harder to get some good footage... I made another edit for the contest in hopes of getting this bike for my friend...if I don't win at least I can say I left it all out on the mountain.

edit: i uploaded the wrong edit the render settings were messed up and it was missing a clip i'll re-upload it tomorrow.

Got to say, second vid is so much better, got a bit bored by the first vid tbh, too many slowmotion scenes and it doesn't really work if you show the same scene both normally and then in slowmo, bores the viewer.
Second vid was much better, no more slowmos, faster riding and last scene made it stand out a bit. Well good luck to the competition! Just out of curiosity, what bike can you win?

    Thanks!

The first one I just wanted to just have tons of berm footage and got a bit carried away with my new camcorder features.

The second video I wanted to give it a different energy. I hope entering another edit helps more than it hurts.

The contest winner gets a Trek Remedy 8 trail bike. Like I said before, I'm not even trying to win the bike for myself, I want to win so I can get my friend into riding. He is the one shot all my video, also his first time using a camcorder or doing any video work.

    Shred on!
