New question here. Anyone knows the K2-Tirade 6.0???????

I want to sell my dawg, and get smtin serious.
Thought about a '07 coiler, but the problem is,
that i can't sell my bike (tried, no results).
    Now there's this cool deal:
change my bike to a used Tirade 6.0+pay about 700$.
I'm not familiar with this company, for me it's totally
no-name. Would prefer a better known brand,
and also fed up with 2nd hand. But if you say, it's sick,
i'll go for it! So what are you sayin?

Here's the pic of the Tirade (nice components):

That frame isn't really all that great. The chainstays were notoriously weak, and the rocker plate looks pretty flimsy. Definately not worth the trade plus $700 considering that K2 no longer makes the frame, and likely wouldnt return your phone call if you tried to solve a warranty issue.

Definitely go for it. How could you refuse a bike with reflectors???

one of the boys in my crew rides that bike. hes never really done anything big on it probly nothing bigger than 6ft with a good trannie. i think the suspension on the bike is really unsmooth and the bike feels really flexy in the rear. also alot of those frames snapped right were the seattube meats that kink on the lower section of the frame. i wouldnt buy it unless u could get it for 500
Looking for a 7.87 x 2.25mm shock, any brand any age that runs well!! cheap would be appreciated!

When I worked at a ski shop last year we carried K2. Looked at there bikes to try and pro-deal. Unfortunately, they don't make anything free-ride related anymore. Probably a good sign not to invest, especially with a trade plus $700.

K2 has been around for a while, better known for their ski gear I think. They bought ProFlex, one of the first full-suspension bike companies back in the 90's. That being said, I'm not a fan of their bikes currently and I wouldn't use one for serious DH. There's a couple of problems I see with that frame from the picture: The rocker arms look thin for any kind of abuse and the seatpost has no extension for a freeride frame.
