Im looking for my first full on DH bike. Its gotta be a Yeti, its all I have rode since the early 90's. Which would be the prefered bike ? Any thing I should be looking for as far as weak spots on the frame ? I did just see GoRide has new RDH's for 1599- but only in S and M, I need a large I think, Im 6'0 225lbs.
The 303 is pretty hot. I'd personally give the Giant Glory a look as well. It's light, it's got great geometry for speed and drops, and it can easily be built as either a burly DH rig or a more playful FR / A-Line style bike.

I'm 5'10" and on a medium, which doesn't feel large to me. If you're asking to compare to the new 303, you're not going to find a comparison yet as none have shipped. Compared to the old 303 the RDH can be lower and slacker (I run mine in the lowest setting) but the 303's rear suspension smooths out the rough better.
When you guys refer to the DH I assume you are talking about the original 303 with 2 rails? Or, are you refering to the new 303WC that will be available shortly, but in very limited supply?
I haven't ridden the new bike, but I got to ride the original a good bit and have owned a RDH the last 2 seasons. They are different in a lot of ways, and similar in some. Overall I really like both, but prefer the simplicity and lighter weight of the RDH. I wouldn't say you have to be really precise riding the RDH, but the original 303 did have more of a lower the plow feel.

Yeti's description of the RDH is accurate. It's very nimble for a DH rig and jumps far better then most 6" bikes. It's great for Socal trails that are mostly hard pack with a rockgarden here and there and jumps/drops. If your local trails are all rock garden, square edge chunk the RDH would not be the right bike. In Socal the RDH would be much faster then the DH, in our regional races. Where you live and the trails you ride should decide which one. BTW, I'm 5'11" with long legs on a medium and would feel comfy on a med or large.
