2009/10 Marzocchi internals in 2007 forks?

Does anyone know if this will work? Seems like it would be a cheap way to get better and more adjustments out of my 2007 888.

the stanchion diameter changed from 35 to 38mm for 08 so its not likely to work.

Since the stanchion is larger in the new forks it stands to reason the internals grew as well, so they probably wont fit into the 07 fork.

however the 07 chassis is one of the best they have made recently, and with teh RC2X damper, hard to beat on anything but weight!

It will indeed work... I have a 2006 RC2 Light that I replaced the damper cartridge in. I used an RC3 cartridge for the newer 66 forks. The part will cost you about $80 to get from a shop. You will need to swap out the top caps and remove an aluminum footnut spacer on the bottom. Other than that it is a direct swap, and made my fork behave MUCH better, especially on repeated big hits.

That's interesting, do you feel the rc-3 is a significantly better cartridge than the rc-2?
I had zoke install an rc-2 in my 07 am-1just a few weeks back, but I'm always interested in quality dampening, & I recall someone there told me the rc-3 wouldn't go in my fork, now I'm kinda bummed.
Can I use the top & bottom caps that they used for my rc-2 retrofit for the rc-3?

I am the originator of this mod, retro fitting the RC3 damper into an older 06/07 66, and i can tell you that the RC3 cart feels MUCH better than the RC2, much more controlled and when you increase the compression it doesnt stiffen the entire stroke

If your interested in the mod, see the link in my signature below, its worth it!

Ive wondered about this, and i reckon it would work as long as you can swap over the Volume Adjust plunger and mechanism. If you can install the VA system onto the RC3 Shaft, it should work fine, most marzocchi parts are very inter changeable

If you are refering to a 2010 Ti spring, then no they wont fit, as the OD of them is larger than the ID of the stanchions.
