    '04 Z.1 wedge question.

I was on the marzocchi site, and i seen the new z.1 wedge. I liked it, and it looks like a cheaper fork. So i read some reviews to get info on it, and they all complimented it, and gave it 5 chillies. So i called my L.B.S to get a price and some info. He said that marzocchi didnt make theese anymore. I thot he was an idiot cause its on the site and people have them. Is he really the idiot I think he is, or do they not make them anymore?
I want one, it suits me perfect and does not look expensive.... And if anyone knows, whats the price on it?..(in canadian$)

I bet it's something like a DJ for trail use. Still SSV and only preload is adjustable. Reviews here are all messed up and what you see is probably opinions on 2002/3 year.

werd...my DJ2 was a stubbern b@st@rd when it came to rockgardes, roots, and small bumps. but it liked dropping and DJ...it steer towards the Z1(not the z1 wedge) for what you have in mind...my friend just got a 2003 Z1 and he dirtjumps, freerides and downhills with it...very good all-round fork. the wedge aint worth what it offers. either get a DJ or a Z1---i reccomend a Z1...

lol, what about the 03 Z1? thats what i was talkin about. i bet you can get it in good condition for like 300 or even 275 dollars. if the DJ3 is what you want, then go for it.

Call mailorder companies and ask for 2003 deals. LBS will have much higher prices.

    even easier

Find some local dude with used fork. Key word "local", so you can try it out and inspect. Post an add on pinkbike.

Turns out that five years of not mountain biking, really makes one strive to get back to it.

I have a 02' Z1 wedge and the steerer tube bent and seperated from the crown withint two summers of hard freeriding. however...my buddy who i rode 95% of those rides with has a 03' Z1 freeride with ETA lockout and it's the shizz-nit. no problems at all.
It's amazing the jump in quality from 03' to 04'.

Kid in my town has a p.1 with a dj3 and i tried it out. Its harder to climb with than a demo9. But if your exclusiely freeriding and DJing, then im sure its fine.
