04 kona stinky question
hey guys its been a wile since i posted
i just purchased an 04 kona stinky and i am wondering if they make custom lower swing arms
ive seen some stinkys what looks like bolt on drop outs and 12mm thru axles i would like to eliminate the 10mm axle if i can

Yeah I have that setup on my 07. Try contacting kona for a newer model lower, if it's compatible with an 04.

thanks for the replies guys ill be posting pics real soon the bikes real ugly due to the fact that the jack hole who owned it before me stripped off the paint then rattle caned it i plan on powder coating it

I wouldn't be so worried about upgrading the lower link to a 12mm axel. If you get a thru-bolt hub it should be plenty stiff for you.
I don't know much about stinky's, but if possible I'd recommend getting a works headset to slack the front end out a little bit. It'll give the bike a little more modern geometry.

10mm axle plenty strong. I suggest the Hadley axle 10x135

Also, 99.9% certain, that your head tube/steer tube (ID) is not large enough to accommodate a WORKS Headset.

I think that even with a 1 1/8 steerer (and headtube), works has a headset that will slack it out 1 degree.

i have a cris king head set and atomlab wheel set 20mm front hub 12mm 10mm stepdown rear hub and yes those are danger boy rocker plates
im installing my raceface evolv e dh 22 32 bash as soon as my front der comes in i would def be interested in the wheels if i wassnt paying off the bike through my local bike shop i payed 400$ for the bike as it sits

oh and how do the dope drop outs fit do i need to cut my chain stays and drill the mounting holes or do i need to buy different chain stays
