New question here. Response XE 26er at 500 Miles

    Hello all!

First post on this forum, please let me know if I need to fix anything.

I have a '13 Diamondback Response XE 26er. I just reached 500 miles and have a few questions!

1.Any parts I could upgrade that are relatively inexpensive?
2.Any maintenance issues that I should be on the lookout for after 500 miles?
3.Any cool accessories I could buy?

The bike is completely stock other than a new pair of pedals. The cheap plastic ones broke within a week of buying the bike and I replaced them with metal ones. Also, the only accessories I currently use are a bike lock and a speedometer/odometer.

    Thanks!

    Pretty sure that's not a 2013 model.

It's a 2011. And it looks like yours is missing some parts from when it was new.

I have the 2013 and it's black with bare aluminum in the back half of the bike. I do like the look of the 2011.

It's a cool looking bike. Several dings and scratches on the paint job, mostly from travel.

That's a good bike for sure, as far as swapping parts I would do a good headset for sure. But it just depends on your riding level and what type of riding you plan on doing with the bike. I can say this when I first got mine I put about 100 miles before I changed anything on her. But the parts I changed were minor stem, handlebars, headset, level 3 tune up from my lbs. And she rides great!
