    Overdrive Comp vs Carbon

Hi, could someone help me understand the differences between the Diamondback Overdrive Comp and the Diamondback Overdrive Carbon (standard)? Aside from the carbon frame, how do the components compare? Is there any area in which the Comp would have an advantage?

I am an intermediate in terms of trail time, with limited knowledge of bikes and brands who has been riding the same bike for a dozen years and is in desperate need of a new one!

The fork and the thru axles are the two things that are much better on the carbon bike. Not a huge difference in the two drive trains, different brands, roughly the same level. I have the Shimano BR-M445 brakes on my Sortie and absolutely love them. I am not sure how they compare to the Avids.

The frame... The Carbon is lighter and stiffer(also thru axles front & back as mentioned).

The fork... The Fox is an air fork, the XC30 is a coil spring.

    Components are pretty close.

To answer your specific question. The only advantage the Comp has over the Carbon is price...
