    New diamondback ASAP

Ok so I have been upgrading little by little from an overdrive 29" , to a 2016 line, to a 2016 mason I sold today unexpectedly. Was considering a full suspension for the firs time. This would be my first. I do a lot of rocky terrain here in Austin TX so I was considering a catch 1 or mission 1 or spend a little more . My riding is a little aggressive 2-4" drops to flat on my hard tail were common and like to jump every little curb , I weigh 240 without gear. I have corporate discount so I really haven't looked for other brands. Not sure if I should wait until November to check for new models. I know they were cheaper a few weeks ago 😒. Suggestions?

I would go with the catch out of those 2.

I'm on the Release 3 and heavier than you and while for me the shock isn't ideal...it works. I'd suspect it would be much better for you at 240. I'm hovering around 265 at the moment. But other than that...the bike has been great. I ride lots of roots and rocks and it just soaks up all the bumps. It's great. My first FS bike too.

I think that the Release 2 looks great as well. If you are considering the Catch I'd probably get one sooner than later. I know that the Catch 2 at least is getting a downgrade for 2018. Not sure about the Catch 1 though but I'd assume it will too.

Is there anything else worth considering in this 1500-1800 price range? Also the thought of the comp or pro mason crossed my mind

Mason Pro definitely looks legit and I had it in my cart several times back and forth with the Catch and the Release before I made my final decision. I'd like to get one at some point but I can't justify 3 mountain bikes right now when I don't really ride trails a whole lot. I'm about 90%/10% road to trail so really the Release 3 is a lot more bike than I need.

+1 on the Mason Pro. I love mine but I also have a Catch so I guess I'm no help.

If you do purchase now, do not forget about the take10 10% code and ebates 2% cashback as they stack with the corporate discount.

Yeah, unfortunately the TAKE10 only works once per account. So use it unless you know you're going to make a greater purchase later on and safe it for that.
