    Mission sizing

I've come across a great deal on a 2011 Mission 3, however I've never ridden a Diamondback and am unsure of their sizing.

I'm 6'1" and ride a large Specialized Enduro and large Yeti ASX. DB's sizing chart puts me at the top end of a a size large. Should I consider an XL? Inseam is 32-33"

Also, I'm planning to use the Mission as my do everything bike. I would consider the Sortie for it's assumed better all day pedal ability, however I'm the kind of rider that sees something to jump or drop and goes for it, is the Mission going to be a pig for all day rides?

I've ridden the current and previous generations of Enduro SL. Both seemed to have pretty much the same fit as the Mission. I own a large Mission and felt good on the large Enduros.

The Mission does fine with all day rides, especially with the stock parts on the M3. Does great with the drops too.

Thanks fellas. Any reason I should consider a 2012 over the 11? I see the headangle's changed from 68 to 67 but I can get the 11 for under 2k.

Try calling DB or a local shop to get the official word on new stuff for 2012. That head angle difference is probably because of the change from a 150mm Fox 32 to a 160mm Fox 36. The frames seem pretty similar other than the new rear axle standard.

Unless you see some components on the 2012 that you really want, I'd suggest going with the 2011 and saving the $$ for future maintenance and upgrades.

    That's it, My M4 has 67 w 160 Fox... like miniwisjosh said, 150mm was 68...

If you go big or want the stiffer rearend and can wait a while until they become availabe go with a 2012, for now a 11 is still a bad a$$ frame and you'll love it.. All Mission frames in 10-11 are the same. Scapegoat frame for 11 is slighty different with a beefier DT...

    Thanks again,

The new rear end, 20mm and 160mm fork certaintly have my interests pegged in the 2012 but that is the downhiller in me. I have to keep telling myself that this is going to be an all mountain bike as I already have a dedicated FR/DH pig of a bike and need this Mission to retain some pedability.

Mission 4 ordered and enroute to my house...couldn't pass it, got it for a steal of a price considering the component specs on this bike.

Is there a big difference between the mission 1 and 2?
