have I made the right choice?

    Hey,
    How are you?

wanted to know what do you think.

I have just pulled the trigger for my first FS bike: RECOIL COMP 29 for 703$ including tax and shipping.

Diamondback Bicycles - Recoil Comp 29

I was on the fence between this bike and the following(but price wise i think i did a good choice):
Mountain Bikes with Shimano DynaSys 30 speed - MTB - Motobecane 2011 Fantom Comp DS

Save up to 60% off new Mountain Bikes - MTB - Motobecane Fantom Trail DS

Endurance Cycling and Nutrition - 2012 Marin East Peak 5.6 Review

    MARIN BIKES**|** Mountain FRS**|**Quad XM 140 **|**Mount Vision XM6

Focus Super Bud 4.0 Bike 2012 > Complete Bikes > All-Mountain & Trail Mountain Bikes | Jenson USA Online Bike Shop

those bikes cost around 1000-1300$, I can still return the DB, what do you think stay with the DB or go with one of the other bikes?

any owners of the RECOIL COMP 29 can tell their impressions with the bike?

I am currently own the motobecane 700HT, and with the FS want to start doing XC and trails and SMALL+ jumps.

    Any input will help.

    thanks.

Depends what you were looking for in a bike. If you were set on 29" wheels you made the right choice, as those are all 26'ers.

Also, while they are all more expensive, they are all spec'd better as well.

But if you rode your bike and liked it, not bad for 700 bucks.

I would always go with what feels the best and has good components...I have seen many people spend less on a bike with sub-par shocks or mechs and end up spending more money on upgrades that they could have spent on a bike with better components than they upgraded to. Forks and shocks and mechs are not cheap upgrades and can cause a lot of heartache.
