    Dimondback recoil 29er recommended Upgrades

    Hello,

I wanted to open a thread for recoil 29er owners and anyone else who can help, to share recommended Upgrades for their recoil bike.

I was deciding between the recoil and the recoil comp, but decided to get the regular and upgrade from there.

    So please share and ask......

I checked some info about the rear shock which is 190mmX51mm.

Was wondering if you have a recommendation for a rear shock? some thing good for up to 150$ unless you think i should invest more.

And will a 190mmX50mm shock will fit the recoil?

Save some more money and go with the Fox Float CTD....otherwise you will be back in the same boat later

I am not sure on size they have other Fox CTDs on the website....I would go with the same or close to same size that was on the bike...

Hi how are you guys, i'm new to the forums but have the 26" model. the stock shock is 190mm x50mm stroke. i picked up a used x-fusion shock on ebay for less then 50 bucks .

First things i would upgrade would be the suspension and wheels/tires.

    Well,
I ended up returning the coil, and got a 2009 MARIN WOLF RIDGE 6.7 off eBay.

well it all depends how you look at that

    for me it was:
    -the looks
-the excellent reviews. WR 6.7 is a true do it all bike.
-price wise, the difference opt me for the WR. (unless you get the coil from nashbar when they have it on sale for about 420-460$. and even then if you upgrade the coil to WR parts and end up at the same price point and performance level - the looks and suspension of the WR is some thing I prefer )
-and again, personal preference.....the wolf talked to me

But that's me and I might be wring for doing that.

    bringing this back.

Just got my recoil comp and the rear derailleur already broke. What do you guys recommend as a better replacement for the shimano alivio sgs? Also, does anyone have a part number for the rear hanger?

    Thanks!

Edit: Seems to be hanger #48
