Bottom bracket for Ram XT 3500

    Hi

Just purchased the frame on ebay but have not reseved it yet.

What BB goes on this frame? 68mm or 73mm. 118mm in length right?

    Thanks

Not sure on width of the shell, but length of the spindle depends on what cranks you're using. Many BBs come with spacers so you can run them 68 or 73.

... and if we just ... just built one myself...

Hey, I just built an xt3500 myself, also bought on Ebay. First of all, good choice. Mine is SIKKKK!!! Still blows my mind every ride! I have Shimano XT Hollowtech cranks from a few years ago. The BB I used is 68X118 and the chainline is about perfect. I dunno about using 2-piece cranks (outboard bearings) or ISIS splined ones as I have yet to go there. Probly won't be long until I get some 2-piecers though, they seem to be way more durable and stiff. The XT cranks I have take some good abuse and haven't quit yet so I figured why stop now. Good luck!!!
