    First ride

So I took it for a quick spin before it thawed out yesterday.

The bike feels awesome. It climbs fine if you have proper technique and don't mash the pedals.

The descent was even better, the rear end was glued to the ground through the rough stuff. This is what I was looking for in a bike. I like to go reallllllyyyyy fast. The only problem was the Fox Float x CTD was leaking from the factory, so it is being warrantied on day 1.

My freshly rebuilt shock will be back on Monday, then time to ride in snow.

If you're going to splurge anywhere on this bike do it on the wheels. A nice set of hoops will make this bike feel lighter instantly. I would also look at other shocks as the Float X feels floppy in the midstroke. I have it pumped up quite a bit to get the correct sag and I still blow through the travel like I'm riding on marshmallows. As soon as I sell the float X I am gettin a CCDB or a Monarch Plus.
