    09' response sport - upgrading fork. question

    Can i upgrade to the Rock Shox Tora 302 U Turn - 85-130mm ?

    yes you can.......just make sure you get a 1 1/8 steer

    does anyone know if i need to cut some of it? i heard some people have to trim it or something like that

    You will know if and how much once you've got it. Most likely a few spacers (that you probably already have ) is all you will need.

    the tora will be an excellent upgrade... as for the steering tube, cut it according to your preference. install the fork uncut and then put your cockpit on... straddle on the bike and then get your feel for the right height, play around with spacers if possible. good luck!

    Like others said no problem going to that fork. I would definitely take it to a shop to have it installed. You will need to cut the steer tube and install a star nut. It is best to have a shop do that with proper tools. I believe most places charge about 60 bucks to do it.
