    Troy with Cane Creek Shock

I'm looking into a used Troy frame that needs a complete shock overhaul. I'm considering ordering up a CC DBinline or CC DBcoil iL for the troy. I'm looking to hear from some Troy owners who have upgraded to a CC. Are you happy with your CC upgrade compared to the stock RS?

I emailed them recently about putting it on my carbon troy. Here's what they said:

The Troy is a progressive frame so it would work pretty well with a Coil IL. However the problem you may run into is the stroke length of the bike. Since the Troy has such a short stroke length (50mm) you will have to run a pretty heavily rated spring. At 195lbs you would need a 550 to 600lb spring.

We have our new Valt spring in only a 500lb x 2.0 but our standard spring is available in a 550lb x 2.0.

Let us know if you have any questions.
