Devinci TROY or GT force ? what would you go for ?

Hi simple question !!! here are the 2 rigs I am looking for. want to build around one of those 2 carbon frame ? which one would you go for and why ?
On top of this I have another question. If you ride a 26 and switch to a 27.5 would you consider moving down in frame size ?
thansk for your input ! :-)

whats your budget? what terrain do you plan to ride?

frame size needs to fit YOU, not the wheels

yes you are right , I was just wondering from experience if going form a 26er to a 27.5er you often have to switch frame size...
budget would be between 3-4k max but love to go lower if possible and terrain would be mostly be like let s say vermont like temperature..I am in Canada.

    KONA BIKES | 2015 BIKES | ENDURO | PROCESS 153

id go with Al w/better components vs Carbon w/shittier stuff

lol I presumed would have known about vermont. it is pretty much anything but very dry... sometimes muddy sometimes not... it is a mix of many differente conditions... but very far from a ride in Sedonna I would say !

I think nauc was trying to consider rather the trails you ride are rocky with drops etc. or smooth and flowy, tight twisty single track or wide open no brakes needed double track...

As far as wheel size goes both my 29er and my 26er are 18" frames with close to 24" ETT. so the wheel size would not dictate what size frame you ride.

There are some very good used 26" wheeled bikes that fit your criteria. I'd be looking that way as you can get a very well speced bike in the under $3k range.

Endorphine, Dixon, to name a couple.

I've ridden both and for me the Devinci is a far better ride. The current GT stuff feels like you are standing on the suspension. Which you pretty much are.

Idrive is pointless marketing. Buy the Troy but there are better bikes around from Giant, Specialized, Kona, Trek.

I had a demo on a troy and it was pretty nice but the geo/sizing felt a bit dated to me. The GT Force carbon I had (still have frame that is for sale, only due to a long term injury) is absolutely brilliant when built with a good fork. I would take a alloy GT over a carbon Troy
