    Devinci Spartan

I give it a 2 thumbs up. Climbs well, descends well. 27.5 lbs as pictured.

I think the shop I got the bike from may have gotten it from Enve or Slikgraphics.com

Did you have a Santa Cruz TRc or 5010 before? I know the Spartan has much more travel and should be compared to the nomad but can you give some thoughts on how the suspension feels compared to the TRc/5010 and how it pedals? Thanks

Yes, I still have a couple of TRc's (both with 150mm Pikes) that I still ride regularly. The TRc's may climb marginally better because of the lighter wheels but the Spartan is a smoother climber because of the larger wheels. The TRc's (and the other 26" bikes that I still ride) is still easier to wheelie over obstacles and launch off of ledge type drops than the Spartan but that may just be part of the learning curve when riding a slack, low 27.5 bike after riding 26" bikes for over 25 years. The Spartan is much more fun at high speed however... I'm able to carry much more speed into corners.
