why is it so hard to find a short stem to fit canondale headshok ?

has anyone else tried locating a short stem for canondale headshok ?

    * was wondering if this stem could be modded a tiny bit and work.

Probably because most Headshok bikes are made for long-stem geometry with short top tubes and a front weight bias for climbing.

    How short are you looking?

Looks like you found your answer in that SIC stem.

Direct mount stems on DH bikes mount to the top crown of the dual crown fork rather than to the steertube. Wouldnt work on your bike.

The real reason it's so hard to find stems is that Cannondale made their own standard that nobody else follows. 1.5" stems arent far off but dont fit which is a shame since it's a standard that has been embraced in the freeride/DH community.

Cannondale made a 80mm free ride stem for Leftys, should work for a head shock. I think its a 10 degree rise 31.8 ,could be flipped for more drop. I have one kicking around.
