I really like my Ritchey EVO Curve alloys. I favor a short reach, shallow drop bar for 'cross.
Last year, I was using On-One's Midge off road drops bars (I ride SS.) They provide a lot of leverage, but are a bit heavy, and I don't find myself missing the leverage for racing.

++++1 on the Cowbells, also running a 46cm for racing. Love the slight flair in the drops. I have mine mounted higher and spend about 85% of races in the drops.

The Cowbell works great! 44cm here. Nice flare to the bars for cross.

I'm a fan of short/shallow bars as I spend a fair amount of time in the drops as well. Not a fan of wide/flared bars for racing.

I have these (alloy version) on my A bike and something similar but Specialized or Scott or ??? on my pit bike.

FSA compact bend. Lots of forearm clearance, a modest flare that gives me the widths I like for riding the hoods and riding the drops, and sprinting in them feels normal.

I love the Cowbells. Have used both 44 and 46 and prefer the 46.

With that said, I've been using the Thomson KFC bars (44 cm) this year and have been pleased with them.

Cowbells were back ordered, so I went with the Evo Curve and couldn't be happier...

I think if you mated the top part of the Evo Curve with the flair of the Cowbell with the carbon/durability of the KFC bars, you'd have the ultimate bar.

On-One Midge, just did my first local race and they didn't seem to care.
