    I've always used Campagnolo on my road bikes. But this might make me switch. Thanks for the post.
    1982, 1983, 1984, 1985, 1986, 1992 Stumpjumpers. 1995 Waterford 1200, 1999 Waterford RSE, plus a garage full of steel frames.

    Di2 is too expensive for cross, if your'e going to race with it. A muddy course with grass will rip out your derailleur, which is the weak link in a drivetrain.

    You're right. Don't buy anything you can't afford to replace.

    Ironic. At Masters Worlds this past January, despite having both disc-brake race and pit bikes, I couldn't help thinking during the final that a single speed or fixed gear with no brakes would have been a better choice in that thick, frozen goop!

    Those Di2 Hydro levers can also control an Alfine 11. I have big plans for my Vaya as soon as they become available!
