    Tire Pressure?

What tire pressure are you CX bike riders running on trail?

    Airing up for pavement?

    Thanks

Hey Tinman, that's a big question. 33mm or 35mm or more? Tubular or clincher? Fine tread or Knarly?

I use Schwable 35mm Rocket Ron (front) & Racing Ralph (rear) on pavement and gravel @ 50psi and 55psi respectively. How you want to balance the Front/rear ratio makes a difference too.

If I don't make an attempt, how will I know if it will work?

    Thanks Eric,
That (50-55psi) gives me a good idea with out excessive detail. I see most those cx tires rate at 70-100. I have the hots for a cx bike but, besides cx I would like clearance for 45's (monster cross)............I will likely have to give somewhere

At 250lbs, I air my tires up to 60psi, but no higher. 2012 Jake the Snake stock setup.

    Tire Pressure?

I weigh about 165 lbs, am running 35c clinchers, set up tubeless, and am around 28 psi front and rear. Sometimes 25 psi.

Edit: Sorry just reread the OP. i use the above pressures for racing. For trail/training/singletrack i air up to 30-35 to minimize chance of burping or rim strikes on rocks since i'm usually farther away from help if needed.

I ran Clement PDX 32mm on a Ridley X-fire disk last year, with tubes filled with Stans.

I weigh about 165 also and raced them 40 psi rear, 35 psi front (many of our race courses integrate trail). One course was high speed over rocks and I pumped them up 5 psi more. Didn't pinch flat but many others did.

I'll pump them up to 50 psi or so if I'm bike commuting the CX on pavement only.

    Tire Pressure?

I run conti 700x43mm tires, knobbies. About as large as my bike will fit. Off road I run maybe 65-70 . I'm about 210 so that's a balance between traction and snakebites

I run 700x40 Schwalbe Mondials tubeless and run 28f/30r on and off pavement:
    - DSCF1445

Originally I ran them with tubes and at even the lowest recommended pressure (50-85psi) they were too hard, eventually dropped to around 35 psi before going tubeless.
