SSCXWC Scandal

Facebook

They didn't do the qualifier, they didn't show at the awards ceremony, they didn't get the ink, and (gasp) one of them had gears?!!
This is pretty lame, no matter what way you cut it. I think winning then not getting inked really was too much.

Not to mention they probably weren't even drunk.

They should be DQ'd to send a message that the SSWC and SSCXWC are not and will never be their kind of race.

They should have been DQ'd as soon as they didnt get inked and then let the next rider willing to get the ink step up as the winner. In the past, I think it was the mtb ss championship, a winning rider stopped before the finish line and let someone else win to avoid this.

Tattoo or UCI licence pulled...

UCI's Code 1.2.019 states, "No licence holder may participate in an event that has not been included on a national, continental or world calendar or that has not been recognised by a national federation, a continental confederation or the UCI."

In addition, rule 1.2.021 states that, "Breaches of articles 1.2.019 or 1.2.020 shall render the licence holder liable to one month's suspension and a fine of 50 to 100 Swiss francs."

Is that for CX/MTB, or road?

Gotta agree on the pulling over before the line if you don't want the tat. Or, don't race at all.

Be sure to vote in the poll. Do you think the winner with out getting the tattoo should have their title stripped? Yes or Yes? It was pretty funny it was like 76% yes and 24% yes. Not too sure why they voted fror yes #1 or #2.

I say confiscate their bikes until they get the ink. I know it's a big punishment, but they deserve it. No ink.....

Are Y'all really that naive?....Rapha asked them to race cause their US base is in San Fran. What better way to get some brand recognition than to have a couple of your second tier pros go out and crush it at one of the biggest CX races in the world, outside of northern Europe, were they will have no competition whatsoever and still get posted on every cycling website?
