I recently got the Nashbar Single-Speed Cyclocross Bike, and I also recently got a 40t Race Face Single Chainring. Here's my dilemma, the Race Face is a four bolt, and the SSCX crankset is a 5 bolt... I could return chainring, but I am curious if I could install the Race Face Single Speed Crank on the Nashbar?
Additional info that might help:
The Nashbar SSCX BB is square taper, the Race Face includes a EXI interface external BB, 68/73mm
Yeah, if you have the BB for the RaceFace crank then the swap should be pretty straight forward.
Chain line may end up being a bit off as external BBs with fixed spindles offer little adjustability.
