The shakedown ride of a new cross bike

    where should I go?

To cyclocross practice? (the site of a cyclocross race next weekend)

Or.... a smooth singletrack trail system???? (thinking Six Mile Run in Somerset, NJ)

Seems it would be most beneficial to ride it at the course you will be racing next week.

How do you like the Cannondale? I'm thinking of getting a CX bike and they are on the top of my list.

    I ride a C'dale CX5 (CAAD9) aluminum frame and love it.

I bought it because the price was good, wanted rim brakes...

but the pads suck. they are not cartridge pads though

I wanted Tiagra 4600 to put a 11-32t cassette & SLX rear derailleur, in case it wanted to put my road wheels on

the red chainring bolts finishes the look for now
