I'm already a few practices and a training race in this season, but I'm too much of a cheapskate to buy the pictures, and too guilt-ridden to upload them, now that I've pulled them out of my browser cache.

Sand... we raced on Camp Pendleton last year for Storm the Beach. Tide was out so riding the entirety of the beach wasn't too bad, but we had massive amounts of sand. It was sort of fun

Racing against Mrs. Chris Horner (Megan Elliot) and Coryn Rivera

Night shot at last year's Spooky Cross (this year it's a UCI race in Irvine - and I will NOT be racing my mtb 76miles in the mountains the morning before the race on 3hrs sleep)

Exposed strip of belly. Cat. 5 flag (can you have a cat. 5 flag when there is no cat. 5?) But still one of my favorites.

From my first cross race today. It was only 30 mins in Noob Class but I was on a fixed gear. So it felt like much more. I pulled out 7th place of 40 riders which isnt too shabby.

Not suffering in this one. Was ringing my bell and goofing off.

Nice, that sand was rough. I need to learn how to ride over it efficiently. I noticed you were just plowing through it every time.

running thru mud isn't suffering...that's the love cry of ... love

seriously, here's pain...i hate this shot. Beacon Cross (New Jersey)...the sand pit was the longest allowed by MAC...this must be after riding through 1/3 of it then running the other 2/3s...for the 3rd time....

I haven't found a good pic of that bog yet but by the 3rd race it was unrideable. Just a bunch of deep footholes, The hill that lead up to it was also unrideable for most of the race as well.

I hate you! When I test-rode a couple years ago, that was my favorite bike. But I decided it was too expensive for me.

    Suffering..

Since I shouldn't run ever again cyclocross races are out of the question, but I can submit a different suffering picture instead.

thanks for one of the most inspirational threads.

I am a cyclocross enthusiast, but nothing around here. tried to get something going here with a few other enthusiasts, but we saw little interest. I will live vicariously through ya'll.
Don't live in fear. Be ready.

I love my bike like a fat kid loves cake.
