    Norco Threshold

    Considering a Threshold any body got one yet .....What are your thoughts ? What's the smile per mile factor?

    Norco is just reselling OEM product. It will be good quality. You can probably find the same bike with different stickers and slightly different component mix. Check their warranty at those prices!

    The slacker seat tube will be nice. I prefer it over some steeper angles I've seen spec'd.

    I bet it's heavier than most other carbon frames.

    What bikes qualify as "most other?" You've got maybe three OEM's building bikes sold at any given super-premium price (like Norco) for most Western brands. There's not much variety.

    Is +/- 17lbs going to make a difference at your local Weekly World Championships? No. It's down to the engine, again, like it always has been.

    I completely agree with you. So why buy a Norco? If he's getting a deal on it great but there's no other reason to buy one. There's nothing special about that bike.

    sub 3 pound carbon cross frame with interchangeable dropouts (g/ss) and fender mounts is unique afaik and pretty special in terms of its' versatility, imo
