Kona Jake the Snake 2013 – New comprehensive review on

This 2013 JtS has a decent overall rating at 8/10, the verdict being “Fast enough for racing, fun enough for playing”…

    Interesting points made about:
    - the poor rear mud clearance due to the chainstay bridge (I did experience this yesterday in muddy Normandy…)
    - internal cables’ issues at the rear end (no problem yet on my JtS).

they've been a steady favourite with weekday bumpy tarmac bashers and those that simply like to muck about off-road on an inappropriate bike ever since they appeared.
Best description yet of why I had to get a cyclocross bike.
Yeah I only carry cans cause I'm a weight weenie.
