CX nats Elite race course mods

Today (before the CX nats Elite finals tomorrow), the course mods smoothed a little section of the course after start chute:

Adam Myerson ‏@AdamMyerson Tweeted "Good to hear. That will actually help make the start safer and more fair, so that's reasonable."

Everyone seemed worried that they were taking the ruts out of the whole course, and are relieved that they are not.

BTW the Elite races will be streamed live, women at 1pm CST & men at 2:15 pm CST USA Cycling - YouTube

What blew me away were the failures of so many cable actuated disc brakes due to conditions. Apparently the pads were wearing down at a very high rate!

Looking forward to seeing more of the action.
Good friction shifting is getting hard to find nowadays....
