cross post from the brake forum...

Getting no love from the guys on the brake forum, so I'll pose this here, since it pertains to a CX bike... I'm looking for quality caliper-type brakes for a gravel/cross bike that have a longer reach than 57mm. brakes with a 57mm reach would hit the top of my rim, not the middle. Just a hair too short. So, what options are out there, or am I going to have to be content with cantis?

Have you looked at mini-V's? I went with TRP CX8.4's, but there's several that make mini v's, tektro, Paul. They have great clearance and have no problem running them on Sram Force levers.

I loved my Spooky cantilevers when I was running them on my Ridley. Still have em, just sitting in my parts box now.

I just got some tektro 559 from Amazon. They reach up to 73mm. Very nice and strong brake. Reasonable price too.
