    Crankset Fit Help

I was seriously thinking about picking up one of the unbranded Moto cross frames. Problem is they said external bearing BB's won't fit.

NOTE: Due to the width of this frames chain stays external bearing road/ cross crank sets will not work. This frame will need at least a 113mm bottom bracket spindle for the crank arms to clear
Personally I don't see a problem. I was planning on using parts from my stash for the build. This would mean I have to get a new crank and BB.

    Was there a question?

If you have the crank on hand, just try it and see for yourself.

If it won't fit, piecing together a set on a three-piece crank can probably be done for under $100.

That disclaimer makes no sense on so many levels.

Outboard BB's give a wider stance. I've got a frame (that unknown to me when I bought it) will only work with external BBs.

113mm isn't that long. Lots of square taper cranks require longer spindles.

It must be designed for single ring application. If a crank with its correct matching BB won't fit there's no way a f derailleur will be able to cover it.

That's what I thought too. There looks like a lot of room.

After an email inquiry it seems they are leftover KHS frames.
