completed second CX race. cat 3, mid pack

I entered my second cx race last weekend. Based on my mountain category, they bumped me to cat 3. I was a bit intimidated racing cat 3 for my second race.

I'm getting hooked pretty quickly. I love the cornering and had good advantage being able to setup my corners for some good passes.

I was lucky for first race and was able to borrow a good CX bike. Next race I'll have to do on my old Bridgestone.

Oh sh!+ just force upgraded to cat1. Now what?
Best thing about an ultra marathon? I just get to ride my bike for X hours!

It was a cross bike. BM I think is the brand. The owner is close enough in size I didn't adjust anything other than having the brakes toed in stop squeeking.

I'm second bike back in this picture. You can't really see the frame though
