    Chain guide/catcher/keeper/thingamajig

I'm building up a cross bike and decided to go 1x8 (39x11-28). The frame is a NOS '07 Jamis Supernova and it has a front derailleur pulley right at about the same height as the 39t chainring which would interfere with a 3rd Eye Chain Watcher or N-Gear Jumpstop. I was having a hard time with the price of a K-Edge or MRP so I decided to try to make something myself. This is the 4th iteration after 2 cardboard and 1 sheet metal. It uses the pulley mount and a cable tie to hold it onto the frame. It's made of 16ga sheet metal and is fairly rigid. I'll try it out and if it works I'll give it a coat of paint. If not then I'll probably get a K-Edge Single Cross XL. I'll post a picture of the bike and specs in the picture thread.

I have come here to chew bubblegum and kick ass... and I'm all out of bubblegum.

If that fails, try this: Bionicon C. Guide
