I was browsing the DH/FR forum when I came across a thread showing off the new Versus Trigger. Much ado about needle bearings, external grease ports, and CNC'd rear rockers. I for one would really like to hear a real engineer decribe the benefits of these kind of things. And the more I think about it the more I realize that there are all kinds of different things that I never can get a good explaination on. Here is a list
1. Needle Bearings
2. Grease Ports
3. CNC'd parts
4. Different types of aluminum (trek's ZR9000/Alpha aluminum, 6061, 7005)
It would be really nice if some knowledgable people told all us simpletons what to look for and what to look out for. What does a bike company going the extra mile look like? What does a bike company cutting corners look like?
Well any help would be much appreciated.
