I have run Raceface Deus nice and stiff, but they need retorquing regularily and shift ok.
I have a FSA K-Force lite and it spins oh so smooth, but I get chainsuck regularily and the shifting is ok...better then the RF,
I have 4 sets of XTR cranks, all stiff, all relatively maitenance free, shift beautifully and never any chainsuck.

I've given up looking for an alternative to Shimano cranks......they just plain work for the sacrifice of 20 grams over the other mentioned ones.

My vote is the RF Next XCs. I have a set I'm about to bolt to a new Sultan, and I've had great luck with RF in the past. I've had a set of RF Turbine LPs since 1999, easily on my 6th set of rings. Super reliable, after I started using loctite on the ring bolts.
