This frame is a work of art. Like all Moots, the welds are perfect. Bike handles like an absolute dream and is the most comfortable bike I have ever ridden. Looking for a new project for next year and leaning toward a Cinco to add to the stable. I know the all Ti Moots F/S bike has gone the way of the dodo with the launch of the Zirkel, an absolute shame in my mind. I have a couple of things on order to add. A Boone Ti 40-tooth outer chainring, LOVE the 2x9 set-up. Also switching to a medium cage RD so I have an '06 X.0 carbon cage RD on the way. The Carbon barends listed above were added after the above photo, waiting for the other new bits to retake.
MTBDad, That is by far one SWEEEEEEEET peace of Ti..Congrat on an Awesome build..
Jake Pay, Love that Ride Here..
Here is a detail photo of my Cinco, the only portion I care about at the moment. Enjoy.

Yes two weeks no riding, would bring on the withdrawls.
Will let you know my thoughts on the wheels. Am building up a Ti carbon bike. Starting with a Titus Ti ExoGrid frame.... Check out the frame. http://titusti.com
I know titus well, they're not far from where I live..

Moots stem, handlebar, and layback post
Moots signature Serfas saddle
Rockshox SID Team
Crossmax SL wheels (Crossmax XL for training)
Ergon grips (not pictured)
Bontrager Revolt Super X tubeless ready tires (not pictured)
Edit: Just wanted to add, my YBB and I survived our first endurance race, the Firecracker 50 in Breckenridge. My YBB did great, and I saw two other YBBs out on the course, one ridden by a woman.. I'm completely happy with my YBB, it suits me perfectly for long distance riding.

AWWWWWWWSUUUUMMMMMM! That's wicked cool!! Would LOVE to get one of those forks...for skinnier wheels. God bless you and your internet stock.

2000 Mootaineer. Still love this bike!

Came in at #26 5oz.
Good taste, my man. Mine will be very similar (expecting in next 2 weeks!)
Could you please post a full bike shot?
Moots Cinco (ish) perhaps quatro and a half
Here is my cinco which has become like an old friend this past year, currently riding between 125 and 175 miles a week ( commute to work, everybody wins). I like to have custom and have played around with this frame, wanted to try different links from ventana but decided to try the shock first (ebay cheaper) The shock I like most (currently at push for tuning) is a 7.25x 1.75 this makes the travel about 4.5 and drops the bb a good amount. The bike feels much more stable with the low bb, more xc, and awsome on the downhill. Like I say love the bike it is made up with weight, and durability in mind (arn't they all) here is the build
Frame moots cinco
fork, fox talas ( push tuned)
American classic wheels, stans notubes (crap tires so heavy)
sram xo shifterers and der
Race face cranks (does the trick but I miss my old xtr 960s)
misc moots bike bits
Brooks limited edition swallow saddle (very proud of this, hope to have for a long time)
great bike even better with the modified shock (at least for me) hope to have it for a long time put on many, many miles and only replace the parts that break (wish that crank would break)
I have a 29 YBB but would of loved a 29 double squishy.
Isn't the YBB a squish?
Here is my 2005 YBB- 2007 FOX Talas 32, XTR shifters, XTR front and rear der, RF deus cranks, BB7 brakes, Crossmax, Thomson post and stem. King headset. The other is my Mooto-X 2001 White Bros, Full XTR, BB7 brakes, Delgado wheels, King, etc... I am working on building up a Cinco and an old Smoothie. I am done after that... maybe.
I'll have my new 2007 YBB in a few weeks! I just ordered it about 2 weeks ago!
I'm excited
EDIT: Well I guess I'll tell you what WILL be on the YBB:
07 Fox RLC Fork
Chris King Headset (Red)
Mavic Crossmax SLR Wheelset
07 Sram X.O RD/Triggers
As you can see I'm starting fresh! Coming from an oldschool 95 Homegrown frame. World of a difference!
Still trying to figure out brakes (probably Avid Juicy Ultimates), crankset, FD, pedals, saddle, cassette, and handlebar.
Any recommendations would be awesome!
moots tres, quatro, cinco
Ok love my moots but also like to play around with bikes, this was a simple hack that has turned my cinco from a jack of all trades into a master. I bought this Ventana adjustable rocker on ebay (cheep) just to try it out and it works perfectly. now it has 3, 3.5,4 or 5 inch travel. Ventana also has a 6" travel rocker if you want to step it up.
Hey asteele that's pretty sweet! Nice to know options like that are out there.
Okay, how come BeerOrKid's Mooto-X is the only one with the extra tube that angles up from the top tube to the the seatpost. I'm starting to worry mine isn't going to have that extra support. Is it a size thing? A rider weight thing?
I ordered the size 19", and I'm 6'1" and about 190lbs. Should I expect it to come with it?
Doug, I'm no expert, but the pattern I've seen is that support tube you're worried about is only on the smaller frames, or 29" wheel frames, where the top tube has to slope down more to give more standover height for shorter people, or where the seat stays are forced higher up due the the larger wheels. With the more "compact" geometry, or the heigher seat stay/seat tube weld point, they add that support tube so the seat tube isn't too severely cantilevered where it extends above the seat tube/top tube weld.
I read on the now defunct moots forum that the 18 was the only one with the extra tube. But now that they have a 17 I bet it has one as well.
