about 12,3kg for the whole bike (with pedals, barends and can-holder)
The bike feels really great, it's a pleasure to ride this bike, much of comfort for the Belgian Ardens, the carbon flex system works very good, just enough flex.
My Oiz pedal so awesome I sold off my 2005 Scape that weighed 20.5 lbs !
19" Frame weighs 2157 gram / 4,755 lbs built up with stans wheels XTR Reba all the good stuff 21.9 lbs I had it down to 21.5 with lighter tires and a few other goodies it stays under 22 lbs all the time in Race trim bigger tires etc. I'm 44 years old and this is my favorite bike i've had like i said earlier I is so efficent that I sold my hardTAIL AND i AM BUILDING MYSELF A 5" TRAILBIKE , I switched the shock out to the SPV manitou and at 190 # I run the minimum in the SPV chamber, when I stand up to sprint the bike just moves out(forward) no bob the O Ring on the shock shaft moves abouta 1/4 " then I can go off the side of my driveway and drop off 22" inches and it lands like it has 5' inches of travel on bottom out ! this bike really does it all for short travel races bike !! It' a keeper !! goes along with a Yeti ASR-sl but lighter faster ! that saying alot !!
It looks that way but it's not. I've ridden a Scalpel a little bit and I've ridden the Oiz (aluminum, 06 version) quite a bit. For one it has a Horst link, the Scalpel sure does not. It's way more responsive, active and efficient. And the Oiz just rides way better IMO. I've never been a fan of Cannondale's boingy, twitchy ride anyway but the Oiz rides smooth and tight.
The new carbon version may be a different thing all together? The one thing that disappoints me is the cable routing - I hate it when Orbea (or others) runs the cables across the top the of top tube. Why not tuck them away under the TT where they're out of sight and out of mind, not to mention not snagging on my shorts! (The aluminum version tucked them underneath.) Orbea makes sweet bikes though, I'm always impressed with their bikes.

Not taking anything away from the Orbea but usually, people commenting that Cannondales are twitchy are just not used to the superior tracking, stiffness and precision of Lefty and Headshok forks over bushing relying forks... They are just used to deal with floppy front ends... Especially true if it's a SID.
Price: 8.639 croatian weasels = 1.540 US$. A small fortune, but worth it. This bike gives the most bang for bucks in its category, and it is the best looking! All who disagree, come to Čakovec, Croatia and challenge me I know, the pics are crapy (phone). The paintjob is sooo hot & vibrant, I call it "Griotta Metallica" Haven't realy tested it in the dirt yet, it's so damn cold and raining. Gotta adjust sag, tire pressure, & stuff. First impression is:
More info & pics comming soon.
Greetings from Croatia!
