New wheels... tire recommendation for so cal?

I just picked up a set of "notubes" Olympic rims for my new XCL that's on it's way. This will be my first experience with tubelss, and I was hoping for a tire suggestion for So. Cal riding ( dry, loose XC )

I'll be doing the Stans goop system.

More interested in great traction, as opposed to the lightest. Also would be interested in trying the bigger , 2.35 type tire, as I've only used 2.1's in the past.

I've been running this combination for about 6 months. I mounted them using ghetto tubeless, so I imagine they'll work just as well with the stans rims.

I'm using the Continental Mountain King Supersonic 2.4 in the front and Speed King 2.3 in the rear. Both are mounted on Stans Arch rims although I'm using tubes. There are some people who have gotten the Supersonics to seal and others that have had issues. I'm currently waiting on an order for 2 UST Mountain Kings from Beyond Bikes before I go tubeless. Also, these are mounted on an XCL ridden in SD county.
